We have two different kinds of financial assistance available. One is to request reduced monthly payment amounts which are below those required in the Credit Policy. The other may qualify the applicant for a full reduction of their charges based on their income. Please contact the Business Office at 319-334-6071 for more information. Back to Top 5. I have Medicare and supplemental insurance. Why do I still owe a balance? On an outpatient visit, Medicare does not pay for any oral or self-administered medications or any take home prescriptions given through the emergency room. Those are due from the patient and can be billed by them to their Part D prescription plan. We do not bill for Part D. Back to Top 6. I stayed in the Hospital overnight. These charges will be due from you. Back to Top 7. Is the hospital cafeteria open to the public? Yes, it certainly is!
